Bettina Papenkort opened a
beauty training centre in response to demand
from her own clients. These courses are
open to all students who wish to either
learn a new skill or to develop their existing
knowledge. Although a wide cross section
of students attends these courses, recently
they have been particularly popular with
yacht stewardesses to use on board.
Please bear in mind that all
courses can be instructed in one of three
languages; German, English or Spanish.
The courses cover massage,
classic cosmetics and Thalasso mud treatment.
Training for manicure, pedicure and eyelash
tinting is combined with body massage, reflexology
and aromatherapy.
The main emphasis is to treat
clients holistically with organic, pure
products. These products, which are supplied
by reputable Spanish and French companies,
use ingredients from all over the world
and all the therapeutic and medicinal range
of natural care products have been thoroughly
tried and tested.
All course instruction is
personally given by Bettina Papenkort who
brings over 25 years of experience and knowledge
to the training.
Getting started
Before training, the student
meets with Bettina in the Alaró office
to run through what is included in the course,
the student’s expectations of the
course and what is expected from the student
and a training schedule is planned for forthcoming
month. It is important to bear in mind that
the fundamental objectives of the course
are a keen interest in learning the subject
and a real desire to become a professional
beauty therapist.
The recommended training hours,
which can be instructed in English, German
or Spanish, are carried out in blocks of
three hours twice or three times per week
on every other day, e.g.; Monday PM, Wednesday
AM, Friday PM.
Time to practice and study
is essential between the sessions as each
lesson builds upon what has been learnt
before. During these sessions students can
either practice on each other or for single
study sessions, a “practice client”
will be organised to be available for the
session.
Costs
All prices apply to the courses
being held in the Training Centre in Alaró,
should it be necessary to held the course
elsewhere an extra displacement charge of
65 € per hour plus travelling time
will be added to the final cost.
A minimum of 200,00€ must be paid on
registration. The outstanding amount is
to be paid in full at the first session.
Each student receives an official diploma
after the course examination has been successfully
completed.

It is important that the student
feels comfortable during training and “feels
the part”, it is therefore recommended
that the student wears:
Comfortable white cotton
clothing
Comfortable white shoes
Hair band (if appropriate)
